HISTORY. What does it mean for us ?
Sometimes House-Units think that a
Mercenary Unit cannot have one, but
we have.
I think we should hear the story
from our leader himself.
Founder of the Hellion Star Knights,
Smoke X-1.
"The Historical stuff about our Unit. Originally there
were 4 different Mercenary units on the planet of
Helle. All four were roughly company size,
thus not very large like the Kell Hounds or the Gray
Death Legion. When the Clans Invaded in 3049, Helle
was at the tip of their invasion. (The location of
our Planet was there when my group played 3025 Tech
and before the Clans were introduced, so the location
in the Free Rasalhague area was a coincidence). The
Four Units Were the Hellions, Star Crusaders, the
Knight's Templar, and the Shoalin Fist. Helle's only
mech force consisted of these four Company's. Roughly
a little over a Battalion in size.
Clan Displacer Beast (Not in Starlance), sent
a Galaxy to overun Helle. After some fighting, only
the unit commanders who were on a Moon Base orbiting
Helle Escaped. The commander of the Shaolin Fist died
holding the Displacer Beasts off while the other three
commanders fled in a Union Class Dropship. Having a
Little less than a Union, and 2 lances of mechs, the
three commanders, Smoke, Empress and Variable thus
from then on formed the Hellion Star Knights. Taking
their name from the three of the Units that survived.
(Barely). HELLION, STAR Crusaders, KNIGHT's Templar.
That is also why we don't use Clan Tech. The original
three Hellion Star KNights, Smoke (me), Empress (My
friend Anne) and Variable (Paul). Were happy playing
Battletech without the Clans, we started before they
were introduced. Now that the've been thrown in the
mix, the game is degrading. So, we made a pact to
crush the Clans without Clan equipment.
